I don't wear glasses mind you, and wouldn't know where to get a pocket protector even if I wanted one, but make no mistake... I am a geek. I blog. I HEART to blog. I love Star Wars. Even as an adult I avidly collected the action figures, and sought out the limited, recalled "ugly-boy-face" Leia. I love the Lord of the Rings, and read the Hobbit a half dozen times alone. I love video games, and snap up each installment of Tomb Raider and Silent Hill. I all but WORSHIPPED Buffy, and bought the series companion books and trading cards to prove it. I love moleskines and conduct "pen tests" in them, and save their colourful paper bands in a drawer. I am a Tim Burton fanatic, and have spent hours scouring eBay for (useless) obsure Japanese Nightmare Before Christmas collectibles -- and even named my little white dog, Zero. And I LOVE my Powerbook. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. It's my friend. My sidekick, if you will. I regularily polish it, buy accessories for it, and plan special alone time with it so that I can surf, or watch movies, or search for the latest, coolest apps for it. So it is really no wonder then, that Mac Geekery is right up my alley. It calls my name. It SCREAMS it, actually. It allows me to thouroughly "Get My Geek On." And the geekier the better, baby. Oh, yes. The geekier, the BETTER.
